Story synopsis

At a cafe, Ji Yao receives a misdelivered resignation letter, whose description of a specific regular seat reminds the shop owner, Shen Du, of a regular customer who suddenly vanished. Rather than prying into the person's private life, they use the old contact information on the envelope to verify the intended recipient. After the letter is forwarded intact, Ji Yao reflects on her own hesitation to request adjustments at work, and she arranges to discuss with Shen Du the proper balance between occupying seats long-term and managing a small business.
