Story synopsis

While listening to old recordings on a bench by the sea, Shen Wei hears a short horn blast that has now vanished; Cheng Yue recognizes it as coming from a small ferry decommissioned many years ago. They look for service records of the old vessel and interview staff members who are still willing to speak, finding that everyone remembers a different reason for the service being discontinued. Ultimately, the audio is paired only with verified information, leaving the unknown parts as open questions so that a familiar sound leads to new inquiries.
