Story synopsis
On the last bus, Xu Ting hears someone tapping lightly on the handrail to a rhythm strikingly similar to that of a band she once worked with, but turning around, she sees Mo Zhou, a complete stranger. Only after talking does she learn he was merely tapping along to the sound of machines at his workplace. Letting go of the disappointment of mistaking someone for an old acquaintance, she obtains his consent to record the rhythm and applies it to a long-stalled creative project; the familiar echo ultimately leads her toward new material.
