Story synopsis

Chen He and Gu Ning agreed that Gu Ning would independently complete a batch of basic bread early in the morning, but on his first shift, Gu Ning encountered an abnormal dough condition and worried that asking for help would be seen as failing the promise. In the end, he held off on putting the dough in the oven and explained his assessment to the owner with his notes. Chen He worked with him to identify the temperature changes and reschedule production; rather than counting against him, this uncompleted independent task earned him recognition, as the agreement truly required dependable judgment rather than covering up difficulties.
