Story synopsis

At a weekend exhibition, Wen Xi discovers a wood carving resembling an old sketch, and the credited artist, Gao Yu, happens to be the friend who dropped out of their collaborative show years ago. She suspects the work bypassed their agreement for co-creation, but the process photos he brings demonstrate an alternate path of revision. The two supplement the contribution notes on the display placard and each state their reasons for leaving, turning what began as a pursuit of accountability into a reunion with clear boundaries.
