Story synopsis

After the rain, the bookstore plays an old reading recording. Ye Ning recognizes Gu Yan's voice, only to discover that the passage she frequently cited was actually an on-the-spot improvisation rather than the book's original text. She immediately corrects the source citation displayed in the bookstore and asks Gu Yan to explain the discussion that took place back then. The two label the main text and personal interpretation separately while keeping the recording; an echo that once brought her solace thus gains a more accurate provenance.
