Story synopsis

While checking tide notes on a bench by the sea, Shen Wei recognizes Gu Cen, who has been away for years and is searching for a ship repair checklist he left behind before leaving port. Following the checklist, the two visit former boat owners, only to discover that the old vessel they cared about has already been dismantled. Faced with an old plan that can no longer be realized, they decide to organize and archive the voyage stories that can still be verified, then return to their respective work, no longer mistaking departure for betrayal.
