Story synopsis

Just before boarding the train, Song Lan receives a letter from her former partner Zhao Yu containing steps omitted years ago during their joint restoration of an artifact, along with a belated suggestion regarding crediting. She had initially wanted to put that past dispute entirely out of mind, but the documentation is relevant to future conservation. The two agree to first hand the materials over to the current custodian and then supplement their respective work logs; after the train departs, she replies that she has received it, no longer letting emotional baggage stall a professional handover.
