Story synopsis

Lin He promised Gu Yan that she would screen a co-edited neighborhood documentary on the cinema's final day of operation, only to discover that one featured subject had not consented to the public release of the footage. She cut the most dramatic sequence, and Gu Yan filled the gap with quiet street scenes. Though the film lost a climax, the screening went ahead as scheduled; after the crowd dispersed, they archived the raw footage according to the permissions, allowing the promise of saying goodbye to the cinema to withstand scrutiny from those involved.
